I have over 22 years of experience working with adults, couples and families. I am currently working on completing the Level 1 & 2 for the Gottman Method Therapy. I have training in Mindfulness, Meditation and Relaxation. I can also provide skills and support to the individual members as well as the family unit, allowing them all the opportunity to develop a strong and healthy relationship.
I believe in a family systems approach which means that when one thing or person changes in the family, it affects the whole unit. I also believe that the strength of the family lies with the parents/caregivers. Strengthening the bonds of the parent/caregiver-child relationship and building a strong attachment and connection is vital to the well-being of the family system.
The strong connection between parent/caregiver and child is essential to the parent’s ability to understand and support their child. We would achieve this through a combination of parent/caregiver coaching, family counselling, and, in some cases, individual counselling as well.
